HOW GRACE MOBILE CLOSET CAN HELP
Grace Mobile Closet assists children and adults with disabilities in accessing medical supplies, durable medical equipment, adaptive equipment, and other vital disability resources.
Families often do not need to know exactly which type of assistance applies to them. Simply share your situation with us, and Kira’s Grace Foundation will help identify the best available options tailored to your needs.
Our assistance may include:
• Donated equipment or unopened medical supplies from our inventory
• Temporary equipment loans as part of our adaptive equipment lending program
• Help finding specialized equipment through our partner organizations
• Connections to nonprofit discounts and other trusted disability resources
• Limited vendor-paid assistance for medically necessary equipment or supplies that are not covered by insurance
Assistance is provided based on eligibility and the availability of inventory, funding, and resources. Once financial assistance is approved, Kira’s Grace Foundation will pay vendors directly; cash is never distributed to individuals.

Honoring Life, Love, and Remembrance
The Butterfly Release Fund is a compassionate support program for families served by Kira’s Grace Foundation, particularly those who have experienced the loss of a child or adult family member with special needs. As part of our broader grief support services, we strive to provide resources that meet various emotional and practical needs during such difficult times.
Eligible families may apply for support to facilitate a butterfly release as part of a funeral, celebration of life, memorial service, birthday remembrance, or “heavenly birthday.” Approved support may be used within one year of the loss, giving families the flexibility to honor their loved one in a way that feels meaningful to them. These initiatives complement our efforts in providing disability resources, including programs for adaptive equipment lending to support families in their time of need.
To ensure responsible stewardship of donor funds, no monetary funds are provided directly to families. Kira’s Grace Foundation will coordinate and purchase live butterflies through a trusted third-party provider, with delivery arranged directly to the family or event location.
All requests are reviewed to ensure alignment with the Foundation’s mission and available funding.
We support families by providing advocacy, education, and navigation assistance across healthcare, insurance, education, and community systems. This includes help with medical equipment access through adaptive equipment lending, navigating insurance appeals, addressing genetic testing concerns, accessing school supports, and connecting families to trusted local disability resources and grief support services.
