The Grace Mobile Closet provides free medical supplies and durable medical equipment to children and adults with disabilities across South Central Pennsylvania. By redistributing donated items and delivering them directly to families, we reduce financial strain and keep essential resources circulating within our local community.
The Butterfly Exchange offers short-term and long-term lending of specialized adaptive equipment to families who need it. This program helps bridge gaps while families await insurance approval, funding, or long-term solutions—often saving families thousands of dollars out of pocket.
Honoring Life, Love, and Remembrance
The Butterfly Release Fund is a compassionate support program for families served by Kira’s Grace Foundation who have experienced the loss of a child or adult family member with special needs.
Eligible families may apply for support to facilitate a butterfly release as part of a funeral, celebration of life, memorial service, birthday remembrance, or “heavenly birthday.” Approved support may be used within one year of the loss, allowing families the flexibility to honor their loved one in a way that feels meaningful to them.
To ensure responsible stewardship of donor funds, no monetary funds are provided directly to families. Kira’s Grace Foundation will coordinate and purchase live butterflies through a trusted third-party provider, with delivery arranged directly to the family or event location.
All requests are reviewed to ensure alignment with the Foundation’s mission and available funding.
We support families by providing advocacy, education, and navigation assistance across healthcare, insurance, education, and community systems. This includes help with medical equipment access, insurance appeals, genetic testing concerns, school supports, and connecting families to trusted local resources.
Kira’s Grace Foundation provides program-based financial support to help cover essential disability- and medical-related needs when other resources fall short.
To ensure accountability and responsible stewardship of donor funds:
This support may include, but is not limited to, adaptive equipment, medical or safety items, accessibility-related needs, or other critical supports not covered by insurance or traditional funding sources.
